Tata Motors has launched the extended range Tigor EV electric sedan. It is available in three variants - XE+, XM+ and XT+ and prices start at Rs. 9.44 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). The price includes subsidies offered under FAME II.
The Tigor EV comes with a blue EV badge on the grille, EV decals and alloy wheels. The car has a shark-fin antenna and an LED high mounted stop lamp. On the inside, the Tigor EV gets black and grey interiors, a Harman audio system and height adjustable driver's seat.
The Tigor EV is powered by a 21.5 kWh battery pack that is said to have an ARAI-certified maximum range of 213 km on a single charge. The battery has fast charging capability. The car has two driving modes - Drive and Sport.
The Tigor EV comes with dual airbags (XE+ gets driver side airbag only) and ABS. Tata is also offering a factory warranty of 3 years / 1.25 lakh km.
The Tigor EV is now being offered to personal buyers as well. Cars bought for non-commercial use are priced at Rs. 13.09 lakh, Rs. 13.26 lakh and Rs. 13.41 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi) for the XE+, XM+ and XT+ variants respectively.
