Confirmed: Tata Hexa to launch in India on January 18

Tata Motors has officially announced that the Hexa SUV will be launched in India on January 18, 2017. The launch event will commence at 11:30 AM.

The Hexa, which will be Tata Motors' new flagship offering, will compete against the Mahindra XUV500 and the Toyota Innova Crysta. It will be offered with two seating layouts: 6-seater and 7-seater. Powering the SUV will be a 2.2-litre Varicor diesel engine. The base variant will come with a 5-speed manual gearbox, while the higher trim levels will have either a 6-speed MT or a 6-speed AT.

Tata Motors had opened bookings for the Hexa from November 1, 2016. Post the national launch on January 18, Tata will also be organizing launch events in various cities in the subsequent week.

Prices of the Hexa are expected to start from Rs. 12.30 lakh (ex-showroom). Detailed variant-wise price list will be revealed at the SUV's launch on January 18.
