Bajaj Pulsar NS160 with rear disc brake spotted

According to a media report, Bajaj is planning to launch a new variant of the Pulsar NS160 with a rear disc brake setup. The new variant is likely to be priced higher than the single disc brake variant, which costs Rs. 82,624 (ex-showroom, Delhi).

Spy images indicate that the first bikes have started arriving at dealerships. In terms of styling, the rear disc brake variant looks similar to the standard NS160. It features a triangular headlamp with integrated position lamps and dual-tone bodywork. It comes with a stepped seat with split grab rail at the rear.

The Pulsar NS160 with rear disc brake comes equipped with telescopic type front forks and has a monoshock suspension at the rear. It rides on 17-inch alloy wheels finished in black. It is expected to be powered by the same 160.3cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled engine as the single disc variant. This engine produces 15.2 BHP @ 8,500 rpm and 14.6 Nm of torque @ 6,500 rpm.

The rear disc brake is expected to make the new variant of the Pulsar NS160 slightly heavier than the single disc brake version.
