Bajaj Pulsar NS160 goes on sale in India at Rs. 82,400

Bajaj Auto has silently launched the Pulsar NS160 in India at a price of Rs. 82,400 (ex-showroom, Pune). The bike was already on sale in Nepal and Turkey. Now, the bike has started reaching Bajaj dealerships across India. Deliveries are expected to commence from July 1, 2017.

Aesthetically, the Pulsar NS160 looks similar to its larger sibling - the NS200. It is built on the same steel perimeter frame and sports the naked streetfighter look. The front and rear fairing, fuel tanks, headlamp assembly and the instrument cluster are a straight lift from the 200cc machine.

The Pulsar NS160 draws power from a 160.3cc, single-cylinder, oil-cooled engine that churns out 15.3 BHP @ 8,500 rpm and 14.6 NM @ 6,500 rpm, while being mated to a 5-speed gearbox. Suspension duties are handled by conventional forks at the front and a gas-charged monoshock at the rear. The bike's braking setup includes a 240 mm disc at the front and a 130 mm drum at the rear.

The Pulsar NS160 is expected to compete against the likes of the Honda CB Hornet 160R, Suzuki Gixxer and the Yamaha FZ-S.
