Audi has announced that it will launch the e-tron SUV in India on July 22, 2021.
The e-tron is a 4-door electric SUV, based on the Volkswagen Group's MEB architecture. It is the first electric vehicle in Audi’s model line-up for India. It will compete with the Mercedes-Benz EQC and the Jaguar I-Pace.
The Audi e-tron is powered by two electric motors - one on each axle. The combined power output is 355 BHP and 561 Nm. In S mode, the power output is boosted to 402 BHP and 664 Nm for 8 seconds.
The car uses a 95 kWh battery pack that claims to offer a maximum range of 400 km (WLTP cycle) on a single charge. It can be recharged to 80% capacity within 30 minutes using a DC fast-charger.
Audi will import the e-tron as a CBU.
