Audi to discontinue TT and replace it with an EV

At the 130th Annual General Meeting, Audi has revealed that the TT will be discontinued and will be replaced with an electric vehicle at the same price range. The new car could be based on Volkswagen Group's MEB platform, which underpins vehicles like the Audi Q4 e-tron concept.

The German carmaker has also revealed that a limited edition model of the Audi TT, called the Quantum Gray Edition, will debut Audi’s online sales channel for new cars. The TT was first launched in 1998 and the third-generation model was unveiled at the 2014 Geneva Motor Show.

Audi is also looking at the future of the R8, which could also go electric.
