Ather 450X e-scooter now available in 16 new cities

The 450X will be available in 27 cities by Q1 2021.

As part of the second phase of expansion, Ather Energy has launched the 450X electric scooter in 16 new cities which include Mysore, Hubli, Jaipur, Indore, Panaji, Bhubaneshwar, Nashik, Surat, Chandigarh, Vijayawada, Visakhapatnam, Guwahati, Nagpur, Noida, Lucknow and Siliguri.

Ather is fast tracking its plans to meet demand and the Ather 450X will be available across 27 cities by Q1 2021. The company has also been in discussion with retail partners in these cities and has already started scouting for spaces to set up the Ather Grid fast charging network. Currently, there are more than 60 charging points spread across 11 cities.

The Ather 450X is the updated version of the Ather 450. It is powered by an electric motor that has a peak output of 8 BHP and 26 Nm. Ather claims that it will accelerate from 0-40 km/h in 3.3 seconds and has a top speed of 80 km/h.

The 2.9 kWh lithium-ion battery that powers the 450X has a maximum range of 116 km (Indian Drive Cycle) on a single charge. It takes 3 hours 35 mins to recharge the battery to 80% of its capacity. The battery can be recharged to 100% in 5 hours 45 mins.
