4th Royal Enfield Tour of Nepal to be flagged off on April 26

The fourth edition of the Royal Enfield Tour of Nepal is scheduled to be flagged off on April 26th, 2015 from Lucknow. The ride will see 30 riders travelling 2,200 kilometers over 14 days.

The riders will ride through the Himalayas from Lucknow through Bhairhawa, Pokhra, Kalopani, Muktinath, Tatopani and, Kathmandu, Kodari, Nagarkot, Chitwana and finally back to Lucknow covering a distance of 2,200 kilometres on their Royal Enfield motorcycles. Participants will be travelling on winding roads leading to Pokhra. They will explore Jomsom, which until recently was just a trekking trail, experience an extreme off-road trail leading to Muktinath, riding along the Tibetan plateau to Kodari, relax at Chitwan National park and then ride down to Lumbini - the birthplace of Buddha.

The route has been chalked out specifically, to challenge the riders. It includes winding mountain roads, slushy off-road trails, water crossings, slush, gravel tracks, narrow suspension bridges as well as straight stretches.

Registrations for the Tour of Nepal have already begun.
