3rd-gen KTM 250 Duke launched at Rs 2.39 lakh

The new KTM 250 Duke gets ride-by-wire and a quick-shifter as standard.

KTM has launched the third generation of its 250 Duke in India. The naked street bike is priced at Rs 2,39,000 (ex-showroom, Delhi).

The 3rd-gen 250 Duke gets several updates on the same lines as the new 390 Duke. The bike now gets ride-by-wire and a quick-shifter as standard.

The new LC4c single-cylinder liquid-cooled engine features a redesigned cylinder head and a larger airbox. The bike is based on a new 2-piece frame and is equipped with new wheels and brakes - designed to save weight. These modifications are said to have improved the power-to-weight ratio of the bike.

KTM hasn't revealed the technical details of the new engine. That being said, the bike rides on an upside-down front fork and an offset rear mono-shock, while braking is handled by disc brakes.

The new KTM 250 Duke receives a few cosmetic updates as well. The bike retains its sporty looks with aggressive tank extensions and an LED headlamp. It has a 5-inch digital instrument console offering smartphone connectivity, turn-by-turn navigation and a USB Type-C charging port.

The new KTM 250 Duke is available in two colours – Electronic Orange and Ceramic White.
