The second-generation Skoda Kodiaq has been spied in India for the first time. The SUV was spotted on the Mumbai-Pune Expressway.
The new Skoda Kodiaq made its global debut in October last year. The SUV is based on the MQB platform and is slightly larger in size compared to the outgoing version.
The latest-gen Kodiaq gets a revised grille, LED headlamps, and U-shaped LED tail lights at the back with the ‘Skoda’ lettering in the centre. Inside, the Kodiaq gets a dual-tone dashboard with a 13-inch touchscreen infotainment system in the centre, a 2-spoke steering wheel, and a 10-inch digital instrument cluster. It comes in 5 & 7-seater configurations and is equipped with ADAS.
Globally, the Kodiaq is available with a range of petrol and diesel engines. However, the Indian version could get a 2.0-litre turbo-petrol engine paired with a 7-speed DSG.
The Kodiaq competes with the Toyota Fortuner, Jeep Meridian, and MG Gloster in the Indian market.
