2025 Land Rover Defender V8 launched at Rs 1.39 crore

The 2025 Defender is available in 90, 110 and 130 body styles and two variants: X-Dynamic HSE and X.

JLR has launched the 2025 edition of the Land Rover Defender in India. The SUV is available in 90, 110 and 130 body styles. It now comes in two variants: X-Dynamic HSE and X.

As part of the update, the Defender 130 now comes in a 7-seat configuration with separate captain seats in the second row. This version is also available as an 8-seater.

JLR has also updated the equipment list for the 2025 model year. The Defender comes with an 11-.4-inch touchscreen infotainment system and a digital instrument cluster. Besides this, the SUV also gets 14-way electrically adjustable front seats with heating, cooling, and memory functions.

The V8 engine is now available across more trims and is priced at Rs 1.39 crore (ex-showroom). This 5.0-litre V8 produces 414 BHP and 610 Nm. The 2.0-litre petrol is available in X-Dynamic HSE trim, while the 3.0-litre diesel is offered across all three body styles and in X-Dynamic HSE, X and Sedona Edition trims.

Land Rover also offers four driving and ADAS packs for the Defender:

  • OffRoad Pack – Electronic Active Differential, black roof rails, all-terrain tyres, domestic plug socket, Wade Sensing
  • Advanced OffRoad Pack – AllTerrain Progress Control, Terrain Response 2, Configurable Terrain Response, Electronic Air Suspension, Adaptive Dynamics and Automatic Headlight Levelling
  • Dynamic Handling Pack – Electronic Active Differential, Electronic Air Suspension, Adaptive Dynamics and Automatic Headlight Levelling, 20-inch full-size spare wheel
  • Air Suspension Pack – Electronic Air Suspension, Adaptive Dynamics, Automatic Headlight Levelling
