Hyundai has announced the launch of the i20 facelift in India. The hatchback gets several cosmetic updates along with new features. It is priced at Rs 6.99 lakh (ex-showroom).
The India-spec i20 looks similar to the European version that debuted earlier this year. It gets a redesigned front grille and bumper, and more angular LED headlamps with integrated LED daytime running lights. At the rear, the i20 gets a new dual-tone bumper with a silver skid plate and it rides on newly-designed 16-inch alloy wheels.
The updated i20 gets a dual-tone interior with a touchscreen infotainment system in the centre, a 4-spoke steering wheel and a digital instrument cluster. The car comes equipped with a 7-speaker Bose audio system, ambient lighting, TPMS and Hyundai's BlueLink connectivity suite.
The i20 facelift is powered by a 1.2-litre 4-cylinder petrol engine that makes 82 BHP and 115 Nm. The engine is mated with either a 5-speed manual or an IVT. The 1.0-litre turbo-petrol engine has been discontinued.
