2022 Lamborghini Urus Evo spied testing ahead of launch

The Lamborghini Urus Evo has been spied testing at the Nurburgring, ahead of its expected launch in early-2022.

Lamborghini has been working on introducing the Urus Evo for a while now. The new Lamborghini Urus Evo is expected to be unveiled later this year, while its sales is expected to commence from early-2022.

Ahead of its global unveil, the 2022 Lamborghini Urus Evo SUV has been spotted undergoing testing at the Nurburgring Nordschleife, Germany.

Although camouflaged, the spy images of the Urus Evo do reveal a number of subtle design revisions, compared to the standard model. These changes include a revised front grille, along with a reworked front bumper featuring simpler horizontal slats for the air intake ducts and a slightly re-shaped front splitter with a central support.

The side profile seems to have remained mostly unchanged. The rear, however, can be seen with a new bumper design featuring a reworked diffuser. The SUV can also be seen sporting air vents behind the rear wheel arches.

The spy images do not reveal the interiors of the Urus Evo. However, Lamborghini is expected to offer a number of subtle updates, along with a few new features and tech additions.

The 2022 Lamborghini Urus Evo SUV will carry forward the same 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8 engine. Although it remains to be seen if Lamborghini has updated the engine to offer any additional performance.

The Lamborghini Urus was first introduced back in 2017 and since then has been one of the best-selling models for the Italian supercar brand. Lamborghini recently confirmed that they will introduce hybrid models from 2023, hinting at the arrival of a plug-in hybrid version of the Urus as well.

The 2022 Lamborghini Urus Evo once introduced, will rival the likes of the Bentley Bentayga V8 and a new (more powerful) variant of the Porsche Cayenne Coupe which will go on sale later this year.
