2017 Hyundai Verna revealed ahead of global unveil

The 2017 Hyundai Verna has been revealed through official posters before its world debut tomorrow at the 2016 Chengdu Motor Show. The posters have been placed at the venue of the aforementioned motor show in China. Hyundai had earlier previewed the new Verna as a concept at the 2016 Beijing Motor Show.

The overall styling remains similar to that of the Verna concept, though the lights, grille, bumpers, and wheels have been scaled down a bit to suit production requirements. The swept back headlamps get a projector setup with LED DRLs. The front bumper is more angular, while prominent character lines have been added to the bonnet as well.

The 2017 Verna is reportedly larger as compared to the model it will replace. It has grown in length and wheelbase, while the height has been dropped by 5 mm.

In the Chinese market, the Verna will get 1.4-litre and 1.6-litre petrol engines. Hyundai is expected to bring the new car to India in 2017, where it will carry forward the existing range of petrol and diesel units.
