2017 Honda Dio launched with BS-IV engine & cosmetic tweaks

The 2017 Honda Dio has been launched in India at a price of Rs. 49,132 (ex-showroom, Delhi). It now comes with a BS-IV compliant engine, a few cosmetic tweaks and some minor feature additions.

The Dio gets a redesigned instrument cluster, a slightly tweaked front apron, an LED position lamp placed on the crown and a wider seat. The scooter also comes with new dual tone colours. There are five colour options on offer - Pearl Sports Yellow, Vibrant Orange, Sports Red, Matte Axis Grey Metallic and Candy Jazzy Blue.

Feature additions made include automatic headlamp on (AHO) and a mobile charging socket in the under-seat storage compartment. The 2017 Dio also comes with tubeless tyres and Honda's combi-braking system (CBS).

Powering the 2017 Honda Dio is a 109.19 cc, single-cylinder engine that is now compliant with BS-IV emission norms. It develops 8 BHP @ 7,000 rpm and 8.91 Nm of torque @ 5,500 rpm, while being mated to a V-Matic CVT gearbox.
