2015 Ford Endeavour specifications leaked!

Details of the 2015 Ford Endeavour were revealed in November 2014. However, while Ford did give away a good chunk of the details, exact specifications such as dimensions or output figures were not disclosed. However, a report by auto.sohu has revealed detailed specifications of the SUV.

Length x width x height x wheelbase dimensions come in at 4,882 mm x 1,862 mm x 1,836 mm x 2,850 mm, while the kerb weight comes in at 2,357 kgs. Compared to the Endeavour currently sold in India, the new one's length and wheelbase are down by 178 mm and 10 mm respectively. The width and height on the other hand, are up by 74 mm and 10 mm respectively. The 2014 Endeavour is also heavier by 343 kgs than the outgoing model and a good 357 kgs heavier than the recently launched Toyota Fortuner 4x4 AT.

The SUV is available with a choice of 3 engine options.
- A 2.0-litre, four-cylinder, twin-scroll EcoBoost petrol engine. (235 BHP/360 Nm)
- A 2.2-litre four-cylinder, Duratorq TDCi diesel engine. (147.5 BHP/385 Nm)
- A 3.2-litre, five-cylinder, Duratorq TDCi diesel engine.  (197 BHP/470 Nm)

Transmission options include a 6-speed automatic or a 6-speed manual gearbox. Ford has said that they will begin sales in 9 markets, including China, India, Australia, New Zealand and markets across the ASEAN region. In India, Ford is expected to first bring in the Figo hatchback and compact sedan. The Endeavour's reveal in India could take place towards the end of 2015, with the launch possibly taking place closer to the 2016 Delhi auto expo.
