More images: Maruti Suzuki YBA spied

The Maruti Suzuki YBA has been spied once again. The compact SUV is expected to be launched in India at the 2016 Auto Expo.

The YBA was spotted at a parking lot of a hotel in Rajasthan. The car measures less than 4 metres in length, which makes it a rival for the Ford EcoSport. It is based on the iV-4 concept that was displayed at the Frankfurt Motor Show in 2013.

The images reveal that the YBA gets projector headlamps with LED daytime running lights, a honeycomb mesh grille for the large air dam, round fog lamps, separate turn indicators placed in the front bumper and alloy wheels.

The YBA gets black interiors with silver inserts. The car shares various parts with other Maruti cars. The car in the picture does not seem to be the top-of-the-line variant as it does not have a touchscreen infotainment system that was seen on a previous occasion.

Maruti is expected to use its current range of petrol and diesel engines to power the YBA. An in-house developed 1.5-litre diesel engine could be used later as well.
