Yamaha has launched the MT-15 in India. The naked street bike priced at Rs. 1.36 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi).
The MT-15 is based on a Delta box frame with telescopic fork suspension at the front and a monoshock at the rear. It measures 2,020 mm in length, 800 mm in width and 1,070 mm in height. It has a wheelbase of 1,335 mm, ground clearance of 155 mm and a seat height of 810 mm. The bike has a kerb weight 138 kg and comes with a 10-litre fuel tank.
The MT-15 features an LED headlight, LED auxiliary light and an LCD instrument cluster that comes with a USB charging port. The bike has a stepped seat and a single side-mounted exhaust.
The Yamaha MT-15 is powered by a 155cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine that produces 19 BHP @ 10,000 rpm and 14.7 Nm of torque @ 8,500 rpm. The engine is mated to a 6-speed transmission. The bike comes with single 282 mm and 220 mm disc brakes at the front and rear respectively and has single-channel ABS.
The Yamaha MT-15 is available in two colour options - Metallic Black and Dark Matt Blue.
