The Volkswagen Vento will soon come with a reversing camera and LED headlamps with DRLs. These feature additions are expected to be offered with a new top-end Highline Plus variant. According to the information available, the Vento Highline Plus models have started reaching dealerships, and an official launch announcement will be made soon.
The Vento sedan was first spotted testing with LED headlamps and DRLs in January last year. It was subsequently showcased at the 2016 Auto Expo in February. However, Volkswagen has taken its time to launch the new variant in the market.
In addition to the aforementioned feature updates, the Vento Highline Plus is also likely to come with new 16-inch alloys. Powertrain related details about the upcoming top-end trim haven't surfaced yet. However, it is expected to continue to be offered with the existing three engines - a 1.2-litre TSI petrol, a 1.6-litre MPI petrol and a 1.5-litre TDI diesel. Speculations also suggest that the automaker might plonk a 1.4-litre TSI petrol engine with 122 BHP on tap in the Vento Highline Plus.
