Volkswagen has released a teaser video of the Taigun on its social media channels. This indicates that the carmaker could be gearing up to launch the new crossover in India soon.
The Taigun is based on the MQB A0 IN platform, and it is part of VW's India 2.0 project. The crossover is expected to be offered with a 1.5-litre turbo-petrol engine, which could be paired with either a 6-speed manual or a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission.
The Taigun has a typical VW front fascia with clean lines. It looks like a compact version of the Tiguan from the front. The SUV has a unique rear design with smoked tail lamps and a light bar that stretches across the width of the car.
Volkswagen has already started taking online equiries for the upcoming crossover. Customers can register their interest on this website.
