VW Group's new Parts Distribution Centre in Bangalore

Volkswagen Group Sales India inaugurated its new regional Parts and Distribution Centre (PDC) in Bangalore. In July last year, we had reported that VW is planning to set up this facility (link to news article) and now, 10 months later, covering a total area of over 5,000 sq.m, this PDC has been set up with an investment of Rs. 30 crores.

After Gurgaon, this is the second PDC belonging to the Volkswagen Group and claims to supply genuine parts to the dealerships and service stations in South India within 24 hours. This region is said to contribute 30% of parts' sales in the country.

This centre will cater to Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Telangana, Goa and Kerala; for all Volkswagen group cars including Audi, Lamborghini, Porsche, Skoda and Volkswagen.

Hopefully, customers will not complain about their Volkswagen group cars being in the service centre for too long, waiting for parts to arrive, resulting in a better customer service experience.
