Volkswagen has given the Polo and Vento a minor facelift. The updated Polo is priced from Rs. 5.82 lakh, while the Vento starts at Rs. 8.76 lakh (ex-showroom, India).
Both the Polo and Vento get a new honeycomb grille, redesigned front bumpers and tail lights. Higher variants are offered with new alloy wheels with a gunmetal finish. A newly introduced GT Line variant gets gloss black exterior bits and decals.
On the inside, the updated Polo and Vento get Volkswagen Connect, which has features such as trip tracking, driver behaviour, statistics tracking, location sharing and fuel cost monitoring among others. It comes with a dongle that connects with a smartphone.
Apart from the cosmetic updates, no mechanical changes have been made to both cars. The Polo is available with a choice of a 1.0-litre petrol and 1.5-litre diesel engines. The Polo GT is powered by 1.2-litre, turbocharged petrol and 1.5-litre diesel engines while the Vento comes with a choice of 1.6-litre petrol, 1.2-litre, turbocharged petrol and 1.5-litre diesel engine options.
Standard safety features offered on both cars include dual airbags, ABS, seat-belt reminder, rear parking sensors and speed alert system.
Volkswagen is offering a 5 years standard warranty on the the diesel models and 4 years standard warranty on petrol models, which can be extended to 7 years for both petrol and diesel models.
