UM Renegade Commando Mojave, Commando Classic launched

UM Lohia Two Wheelers has launched two new cruiser bikes in India - the UM Renegade Commando Mojave priced at Rs. 1.80 lakh and the Renegade Commando Classic priced at Rs. 1.89 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi).

Both bikes measure 2,257 mm in length, 780 mm in width and have a wheelbase of 1,545 mm. The Renegade Commando Classic measures 1,350 mm in height, while the Commando Mojave is slightly shorter at 1,140 mm. They have a ground clearance of 200 mm and a kerb weight of 179 kg. Their fuel tank capacity is 18 litres.

The Commando Classic gets a glossy 2-tone metallic paint job and chrome details. It is offered with a touring package, which consists of a saddle bag, tank cover, windshield, back rest and chrome finished engine guard, exhaust, front fork, headlight trim, mirrors and handlebars.

The Commando Mojave on the other hand gets a matte finish paint job with Mojave Desert logos and fuel tank cell phone pad. Instead of chrome, the Command Mojave gets a matte black exhaust, engine guard, handlebars, headlight and indicator trim, mirrors and front fork. It also gets black wire-spoke wheels, saddle bag and back rest. 

Both bikes are powered by a 279.5cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled, engine with electronic fuel injection. The engine puts out 24.8 BHP @ 8,500 rpm and 23 Nm of torque @ 7,000 rpm and is paired with a 6-speed gearbox. 

The bikes are equipped with a 41 mm telescopic front suspension and dual shock absorbers at the rear. The brake setup includes a 280 mm disc with 2-piston caliper in the front and a 130 mm drum at the rear. Both bikes use a 16-inch wire-spoke wheel in the front wrapped in a 110/90 section tyre and 15-inch rims at the rear with 140/90 section rubber.
