UK spec Honda Jazz scores 5 star rating in Euro NCAP

UK-built Honda Jazz has scored 5 stars in Euro NCAP Crash Test. The Euro spec 2015 Jazz up to 70 kg heavier than the India-spec vehicle (Indian petrol MT: 1,007 - 1,044 kg vs UK petrol MT: 1,066 - 1,113). It is equipped with safety kit such as 6 airbags, seat belt pretensioners, Electronic Stability Control, Autonomous Emergency Braking, Speed Assistance System and Lane Assist System.

The 2015 Jazz scored a 93% score for adult occupant protection, 85% for child occupant, 73% for pedestrian and 71% for safety assist.

Previously, the 2015 Jazz scored a 5 star in the Australian New Car Assessment Programme (link to news article). However, we will only get a clear picture of how India-spec vehicles fare in crash tests once the Bharat New Vehicle Safety Assessment Programme (BNVSAP) is introduced and enforced in 2017.
