UK: 2015 Skoda Superb variant wise prices, features revealed

Skoda revealed the 2015 Superb in Prague and the car made its public debut at the Geneva motor show. While the launch in India is expected to take place only in 2016, the saloon's variant wise feature list and prices have been revealed in the UK.

The new Superb will be available with seven engine options (4 petrol TSI/3 diesel TDI) with output figures ranging from 118 BHP to 276 BHP. Except from the base petrol, all models can be equipped with the DSG transmission, while select variants are available with all wheel drive. The launch range consists of four trim levels: S, SE, SE L Executive and Laurin & Klement. Given below is the feature list offered on each trim:

S:

The S-variant comes equipped with 16-inch Orion alloy wheels, halogen headlamps with LED DRLs, front fog lamps and LED tail-lights on the outside. The cabin gets features like a 3-spoke multi-function steering wheel, cloth upholstery, a removable lamp in the boot, electric parking brake, a 5-inch Swing touchscreen with USB/SD card/Bluetooth support and DAB digital radio. Safety features include front assist, ABS with EBD, engine drag torque control, ASR, hydraulic brake assist (HBA), cornering brake control (CBC), multi-collision brake (MKB), an electronic diff-lock and auto-hold.

The S is available with the 123 BHP 1.4-litre petrol or 118 BHP 1.6-litre diesel. The diesel is available with the DSG auto-box as well and prices range from £18,640 - £21,440 (INR 17.65 -20.30 Lakh approx.)

SE:

The SE-variant comes with 17-inch Helios alloy wheels, manual lumbar support, dual zone air conditioning, electrically folding wing mirrors and rear parking sensors. The cabin features the 6.5-inch Bolero infotainment system and adaptive cruise control. The SE trim adds cornering fog lights to the safety tech.

The SE is available with the 148 BHP 1.4-litre petrol, 118 BHP 1.6-litre diesel and the 148 BHP 2.0-litre diesel. All engines are available with the DSG auto-box, while the 2.0-litre diesel is offered with AWD as well. Prices range from £21,190 - £23,590 (INR 20 -22.33 Lakh approx.)

SE L:

The SE L-variant comes with 18-inch Zenith alloy wheels, bi-xenon headlights with AFS and LED daytime running lights and headlight washers. On the inside, the car gets nets in the electrically operated boot, an electrically adjustable driver’s seat with 3 memory settings, leather upholstery and heated front seats. This variant gets an 8-inch touchscreen Columbus satellite navigation system with two SD card slots and a drive mode selector.

In addition to the options on the SE, the SE L is available a 217 BHP 2.0-litre petrol (DSG only), a 276 BHP 2.0-litre petrol (DSG+AWD only), along with a 187 BHP 2.0-litre diesel that can be equipped with a DSG-box, AWD or both. Prices range from £24,220 - £30,220 (INR 22.93 - 28.61 Lakh approx.)

Laurin & Klement:

The range topping L&K comes with 18-inch Pegasus anthracite alloy wheels on the outside while the cabin gets a 10 speaker CANTON sound system, a heated windscreen, piano black decorative inserts and three-zone climate control. This variant also gets blind spot detection, the KESSY keyless entry system, lane assist, park assist, a TV tuner, the boot virtual pedal and dynamic chassis control (DCC).

The L&K is available with the 217 BHP 2.0-litre petrol equipped with the DSG gearbox while the 276 BHP version gets AWD as well. The 2.0-litre diesel makes either 148 BHP or 187 BHP and both engine tunes can be equipped with a DSG auto-box, AWD or both. Prices range from £30,640 - £33,840 (INR 29-32 Lakh approx.)
