Trusty Honda BR-V 60,000 km / 8 years update: Nothing other than usual

One big advantage of BR-V over other 7 seaters is its narrow width. Funny how what is considered a negative is actually a positive attribute, atleast for my use case.

BHPian SmartCat recently shared this with other enthusiasts.

Finally crossed 60,000 km mark after 8 years - so time for photo dump.

There is simply nothing much to report. Once a year service is all it needs (the car is used sparingly). However, one little irritant is that wheel alignment goes out of whack every 2,000 or 3,000 km, especially after a highway run on not-so-smooth roads. Wheel alignment technician said some front suspension component has "become weak", but Honda service technicians say the suspension is fine.

One big advantage of BR-V over other 7 seaters is its narrow width. Funny how what is considered a negative is actually a positive attribute, atleast for my use case. Perfect for roads in coastal Karnataka towns. If a narrow road is manageable in a Brio, it is doable in a BRV:

If anybody is visiting Mangalore (+ 50 kms radius), a quick visit to the shipwreck beach at sunset is worth it if somebody wants to take some unique photos:

Here's a query by BHPian makaarandsaraf:

Wanted to know whether upsizing the tires to 205/60 will have any major advantages/disadvantages with the fuel efficiency, handing, riding comfort etc. with the car? Would you recommend me to stick to the same size as the stock tyres and what specific tyre brands would you recommend? It is fitted with Michelin tyres but they are on their last legs, becoming hard and having cracks.

Many BR-V owners have upgraded to 205/60 R16s. The biggest advantage of these tyres is 20% to 25% lower price than 195/60 R16s (because the former is a common tyre size). I'm on MRF ZV2Ks. No specific brand recommendation as such - any tyre brand/model should be fine, as long as it is NOT a Ling Long or any other Chinese import.
