Triumph Tiger Sport 800 debuts as Tiger 850 Sport replacement

The Tiger Sport 800 borrows styling cues from the smaller Sport 660 model.

Triumph has revealed the all-new Tiger Sport 800. The new model is positioned above the Tiger Sport 660 and replaces the Tiger 850 Sport.

The Tiger Sport 800 borrows styling cues from the smaller Sport 660 model. It has a similarly-shaped fairing with slim LED headlamps, a raised handlebar and a single-piece seat. It comes with a colour TFT display that offers smartphone connectivity and turn-by-turn navigation.

The Tiger Sport 800 is powered by a new 798cc inline 3-cylinder engine that delivers 113.43 BHP @ 10,750 rpm and 95 Nm @ 8,250 rpm. The engine is mated to a 6-speed gearbox via a slipper clutch. It also comes with a quick-shifter and ride-by-wire.

The Tiger Sport 800 is equipped with Showa adjustable upside-down forks at the front and a mono-shock at the rear, with 150 mm of travel at both ends. Braking is handled by dual 310 mm discs at the front and a single 225 mm disc at the rear.

The Tiger Sport 800 offers three riding modes: Road, Rain and Sport. It comes with cornering ABS, switchable traction control and cruise control.
