According to a media report, TVS plans to launch a new electric 2-wheeler by March 2025. It will be the third electric model after the iQube and X e-scooter.
KN Radhakrishnan, Director and CEO of TVS Motor, stated that we would witness some more launches during this financial year, as far as future electric products are concerned. Without disclosing the exact details of the upcoming product, Radhakrishnan revealed that it would be in a new segment.
TVS currently offers the iQube, which competes with electric scooters from Bajaj, Ola Electric, and Ather Energy. It is available in five variants and has up to three battery options. These include 2.2 kWh, 3.4 kWh, and 5.1 kWh, with prices starting at Rs 94,999 (ex-showroom).
The TVS X was launched in August last year, priced at Rs 2.50 lakh. It uses a 4.44 kWh nickel-manganese-cobalt battery pack offering a range of 140 km and packs a 9.38 BHP electric motor. Deliveries of the TVS X are yet to commence.
