Triumph Tiger 800 XR launched in India at Rs. 10.5 lakh

Triumph has launched the Tiger 800 XR motorcycle in India at a price of Rs. 10,50,000 (ex-showroom, Delhi).

The Tiger 800 XR falls in Triumph's adventure category of motorcycles and slots below the XRx and XCx in the Tiger range. It is powered by an 800cc, inline 3-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine that develops 94 BHP @ 9,520 rpm and 79 Nm of torque @ 7,850 rpm. The engine is mated to a 6-speed gearbox.

The XR has a Showa 43 mm upside down fork suspension at the front with 180 mm travel and a Showa monoshock suspension at the rear with 170 mm rear wheel travel. Braking duties are performed by twin 308 mm and single 255 mm disc brakes at the front and rear respectively. The bike has a 19-inch cast aluminium wheel at the front and a 17-inch unit at the rear.

Other features include a 19-litre fuel tank, switchable ABS, traction control, trip computer, hazard lights, sump guard, 12V power supply outlet and a height-adjustable seat.

The Tiger 800 XR comes with a 2-year, unlimited mileage factory warranty.
