Triumph Rocket X launched at Rs. 22.21 lakh ex-Delhi

From the showcase at EICMA 2014 to the showroom floors in India – Triumph has launched the limited edition Rocket X. Priced at Rs. 22,21,200/-, the model is more expensive than the Rocket III by around Rs. 90,000. Only 500 units of the Rocket X will be sold worldwide, of which, India has been allocated 15.

As reflected by the name, the Rocket X celebrates a decade of the Rocket III’s position as the motorcycle with the biggest engine in mass production. Features include a high gloss jet black custom paint finish by UK based custom paint specialists 8 Ball, black wheels, black exhaust pipes, a black wind deflector, a “Rocket X” badge on the engine and a silver pinstripe with the model name in the design. The instruments and handlebar are painted black as well and each unit gets a badge with its unit number (from 1-500) as well.

Mechanically, the Rocket X is no different from the Rocket III. Powering the bike is a 2.3L, in-line 3-cylinder engine that makes 146 BHP @ 5,750 rpm and 221 Nm of torque @ 2,750 rpm.
