Toyota Yaris: Prices hiked and some variants dropped

Toyota has silently hiked the prices of the Yaris sedan. The increase in prices varies from Rs. 1,000 to Rs. 1,68,000, depending on the variant. The Japanese carmaker has also dropped the V MT, V CVT and the VX MT variants.

A notional hike of Rs. 1,000 has been made in the V MT Opt and V CVT Optional variants. J MT Optional and J CVT Optional prices have increased by Rs. 10,000, while G MT Optional and G CVT Optional prices have gone up by Rs. 12,000. G MT and G CVT see a price hike of Rs. 1,20,000, while prices of the J MT and J CVT variants have gone up by Rs. 1,68,000.

The Yaris is powered by a 1.5-litre, 4-cylinder petrol engine that puts out 106 BHP @ 6,000 rpm and 140 Nm of torque @ 4,200 rpm. The engine is mated to a 6-speed manual gearbox.

Recently the Yaris was also launched on the Government e Marketplace (GeM), a dedicated online platform for government organizations, departments and Public Sector Units (PSUs).
