Toyota Fortuner GR Sport debuts in Indonesia

Interestingly, the GR Sport variant does not come with an all-wheel-drive system.

Toyota has launched the Fortuner GR Sport in the Indonesian market. It replaces the TRD Sportivo variant.

As expected, the Fortuner GR Sport gets a sporty body kit featuring an aggressive-looking front bumper, dual-tone alloy wheels and 'GR Sport' badges. The interior looks fairly standard with black upholstery and a large touchscreen infotainment system in the centre.

In Indonesia, the Fortuner GR Sport is offered with two engine options - a 2.7-litre, 4-cylinder petrol producing 158 BHP and 242 Nm and a 2.4-litre diesel unit putting out 145 BHP and 400 Nm. Both engines are paired with a 6-speed automatic transmission. Interestingly, the GR Sport variant does not come with an all-wheel-drive system.

In India, the Fortuner is available in standard and Legender versions. Engine options include a 2.7-litre petrol with 164 BHP / 245 Nm and a 2.8-litre diesel producing 175 BHP / 420 Nm or 201 BHP / 500 Nm.
