Toyota Fortuner facelift teased. Features, engine details out

Toyota has released a teaser image of the upcoming Fortuner facelift. The SUV will be launched in Thailand on June 4.

Media reports suggest that the SUV will be offered with new Bi-Beam LED headlights. It will come with a new grille, front bumper, new side steps, rear bumper and redesigned tail lights. In Thailand, the Fortuner is expected to be offered with new design alloy wheels ranging in size from 18-20 inches.

On the inside, the updated Fortuner is expected to get a new infotainment system and a redesigned instrument cluster. It is also expected to get optional 360 degree camera, a larger 9-inch touchscreen head-unit with Apple CarPlay, wireless charger and handsfree tail gate.

The report also states that the Fortuner will be available with two diesel engine options, including a 2.4-litre unit producing 148 BHP and 400 Nm and a 2.8-litre engine. Both engines are likely to be offered with a 6-speed automatic transmission in 2-wheel drive and all-wheel drive configurations.

The Fortuner facelift could come with Toyota Safety Sense and could get other safety features like automatic braking, lane departure warning with automatic steering wheel delay, lane keeping assist and radar guided cruise control.
