Toyota has filed a design patent for the Agya hatchback in India.

The Agya shares its underpinnings with the Perodua Axia and was introduced in Indonesia last year. The hatchback features a bold front fascia with a hexagonal radiator grille. It comes with a sporty body kit that is popular in South-East Asian markets.

On the inside, the Agya comes equipped with a touchscreen infotainment head-unit, engine start / stop button and multi-function steering wheel among other features.

In Indonesia, Toyota offers the Agya with two engine options. These include a 1.0-litre, 3-pot petrol engine that puts out 66 BHP and 89 Nm and a 1.2-litre, 4-cylinder motor that makes 87 BHP and 108 Nm. Transmission options include a 5-speed manual and 4-speed automatic.
