According to reports, Tesla has released an update on the battery degradation of its EVs. The EV maker claims that the batteries on its models lose just 12% of their capacity after 200,000 miles (3.21 lakh km).
Battery degradation is one of the main concerns among electric vehicle buyers. It is represented by the loss in capacity and range over time and increasing mileage.
The battery degradation result is part of Tesla's 2022 Impact Report. Also, the results refer to the brand's Model S and Model X offerings since the company has long-term data on those vehicles.
The automaker also stated that it would start disclosing other datasets of newer batteries used in more recent vehicles going forward.
