View Forum Discussion

The Tata Tiago and Tigor twins have been awarded a 4-star rating for adult safety and 3-star for the child occupants in crash tests conducted by the Global NCAP.

According to the test report, the car offered good head and neck protection to the driver and passenger. It offered marginal and adequate protection to the driver and passenger's chest respectively. Protection to the femur and knees was marginal as there is a risk of contacting dangerous structures behind the fascia.

The child seat for the 3-year old child dummy was able to prevent excessive forward movement thereby protecting the head and offering fair protection to the chest. For the 18-month old child dummy, the car offered good protection.

The test car was equipped with dual airbags, seat belt pretensioners, seat belt reminder and ABS. ISOFIX or child seat anchorages are not available on the car.
