Tata Tiago and Tigor CNG variants spied

The CNG variants are expected to be mechanically identical to their petrol powered counterparts.

CNG variants of the Tata Tiago hatchback and Tigor compact sedan have been spotted testing.

The CNG variants are expected to be mechanically identical to their petrol powered counterparts. Both cars come with a 1.2-litre, 3-cylinder petrol engine that puts out 85 BHP and 113 Nm. The peak output is expected to drop slightly when running on CNG. While the petrol versions are offered with either a 5-speed manual gearbox or a 5-speed AMT, the CNG variants will come only with the 5-speed manual transmission.

Both cars will be based on their respective facelift versions featuring an updated front fascia. The cars get the tri-arrow grille, re-profiled headlamps and bumpers and LED tail lights. The interior too is expected to be carried over unchanged.
