Tata teases new Nexon. Could it be the DCT?

Tata has teased a new update to the Nexon. The new car could come equipped with a DCT transmission. The car is expected to be unveiled on September 2, 2020.

We first reported that Tata could be testing a Nexon DCT in March 2020. Another test mule was again seen in June 2020. While the test cars spotted had a shark fin antenna, the car teased by Tata has a regular antenna.

The dual-clutch transmission is also expected to be used in the Altroz and could be offered with the turbo petrol variant.

At present, the Nexon is available with a 1.2-litre, turbocharged petrol engine producing 118 BHP and 170 Nm and a 1.5-litre diesel engine that produces 108 BHP and 260 Nm. Both engines are offered with either a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed automated manual transmission.
