Tata Safari Storme facelift spied again

A refreshed version of the Tata Safari Storme had been spotted a couple of months ago. The pictures indicated that SUV had a new Land Rover inspired honeycomb grille and a restyled front bumper. Now, some more images of the car have surfaced on the internet giving us closer look at the changes.

The Storme is likely to receive changes to its interiors as well. A restyled dashboard, a Harman-developed infotainment system with steering-mounted controls and a forward-facing third row of seats could be offered.

Mechanical changes for the Storme are expected as well. The 2.2-litre, VariCOR diesel engine could get a power hike which will enable it to produce 150 PS and 320Nm of torque - like the Tata Aria.

Launched in 2012, the Safari Storme has not managed to sell in the numbers that Tata Motors would have hoped for. With the advent of the new Mahindra Scorpio, it is the right time for Tata Motors to give its flagship SUV an update.
