Tata Safari launch on February 22; bookings open

The Safari will be available in 6 and 7-seat configurations and 6 variants - XE, XM, XT, XT+, XZ and XZ+.

Tata Motors is gearing up to launch the all-new Safari on February 22. Pre-bookings are now open and the booking amount has been set at Rs. 30,000.

The new Safari is based on the OMEGARC platform that is shared with the Harrier. It is powered by a 2.0-litre, 4-cylinder diesel engine producing 170 BHP and 350 Nm. Transmission options include a 6-speed manual and a 6-speed automatic transmission. It has three drive modes - Eco, Sport and City. The car also gets Terrain Response modes - Normal, Wet and Rough.

The Safari will be available in 6 and 7-seat configurations and 6 variants - XE, XM, XT, XT+, XZ and XZ+. The SUV comes equipped with features such as automatic climate control, panoramic sunroof, automatic headlamps and rain sensing wipers, 8.8-inch touchscreen infotainment head-unit with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto and iRA connected car technology.
