Tata Nexon facelift spied up close; new details revealed

The latest spy images reveal a Harrier / Safari facelift-like front fascia and a front camera.

The upcoming Tata Nexon facelift has been spied up close revealing some of its intricate design details. The updated crossover is expected to go on sale later this year.

Starting with the exterior, the Nexon facelift will get a new front fascia featuring a slim grille flanked by LED daytime running lights and headlamps positioned in separate vertical pods. As you will notice, the design looks similar to that of the upcoming Tata Harrier / Safari facelift.

A closer look at the front air dam reveals a slim trapezoidal grille with vertical slats. Note the front camera that is mounted in the centre. The Nexon is likely to get a 360-degree camera but will miss out on ADAS.

The side profile of the Nexon looks familiar with its coupe-like roofline and short overhangs. It does have a new set of alloy wheels though. The test car is equipped with turbine-style 5-spoke dual-tone wheels.

Inside, the Nexon will get a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a digital instrument cluster and a new 2-spoke steering wheel with an illuminated Tata logo in the centre. The centre console houses a rotary drive mode selector and a stubby gearshift lever.

Under the bonnet, the Nexon facelift is rumoured to get Tata's new 1.2-litre turbo-petrol engine producing 122 BHP and 225 Nm. The 1.5-litre diesel engine is likely to be carried over as well.
