Tata Motors is celebrating a new sales milestone as Nexon EV sales cross the 50,000 unit mark.
According to the company, the Nexon EV accounts for up to 15% of the total Nexon sales. It is currently available in over 500 cities across India. Nexon EV owners are said to cover distances of up to 1,500 km at a stretch during long trips. On average, owners drive around 6.3 million km in a month on intercity and outstation trips ranging from 100 to 400 km.
The Nexon EV has been the most popular electric model in Tata's EV portfolio. It is available in Prime, Max and #Dark variants. The crossover uses a 127 BHP electric motor that is powered by a 30.2 kWh battery pack. It is said to offer an ARAI-certified range of 312 km (MIDC cycle).
The Nexon EV Max comes with a 40.5 kWh battery pack, which powers an electric motor with an output of 141 BHP and 250 Nm. It has an ARAI-certified range of 453 km on a single charge.
