Tata Nano Twist XTA with AMT spotted without camouflage

Thanks to BHPian //M for sharing the images and information with fellow enthusiasts.

The automated manual transmission -equipped Tata Nano Twist XTA has been spotted once again. This time, the car is not wearing any camouflage whatsoever.

Spotted on the streets of Pune, the Nano Twist XTA is seen with a keyhole and boot handle on the hatch, indicating that it is openable. There is a badge which says F-Tronic on the left and one that says XTA on the right of the hatch - clearing any doubts about the transmission this car is using. The AMT unit is expected to make the car more stress-free to drive, since it does not need a clutch to be depressed while changing gears.

The Nano Twist AMT will feature redesigned bumpers with honeycomb grilles, new headlamp and tail lamp clusters. The car is also likely to carry over the Nano Twist XT's electric power assisted steering (EPAS), which makes it significantly easier to drive and park.

Tata is in the process of re-positioning the Nano and is likely to add many features to the car to give it an upmarket feel. A more powerful engine could also be a possibility.

More details on the Nano Twist XTA are awaited.
