Tata Harrier EV design patent leaked ahead of launch

The Harrier EV is likely to be based on the brand’s Gen 2 EV architecture.

Tata Motors is planning to launch a slew of EVs, including a pure-electric version of the Harrier. A patent filed by the company has now revealed the upcoming electric SUV’s exterior design.

It seems the Harrier EV will sport a similar exterior look to the ICE version. That being said, it could get a unique front fascia with a blanked-out grille. The rear, however, has a more familiar design with a wraparound LED taillight and the redesigned rear bumper that was introduced on the facelift version.

Inside, the Harrier EV is expected to get a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a digital instrument cluster and a rotary drive mode selector. The SUV is also likely to get a panoramic sunroof and ADAS.

The Harrier EV is likely to be based on the brand’s Gen 2 EV architecture. The electric SUV is expected to be offered in a dual-motor configuration and will compete with the upcoming Hyundai Creta EV.
