Honda has filed a design patent for the NPF125 scooter in India. While it is unclear if Honda will launch it here, it does seem to be a worthy rival for models like the TVS NTorq.
The Honda NPF125 has a sporty design with dual headlamps and vertical turn indicators. It has a flat footboard, a storage cubby on the front fairing and a single-piece seat.
The NPF125 is currently available in several markets in Asia. It is powered by the same 124cc, single-cylinder engine as the Activa 125. However, it produces 9.3 BHP and 10 Nm, whereas the overall output is slightly restricted on the Activa 125.
The suspension setup on the NPF125 is also quite familiar. It uses a telescopic fork in the front and a single shock absorber in the rear. The scooter rides on alloy wheels and is equipped with a front disc brake.
