Tata Altroz Racer launched at Rs 9.49 lakh

Tata Motors has also introduced two new variants of the standard Altroz – XZ LUX, XZ+ S LUX and an upgraded XZ+ OS trim.

Tata Motors has announced the launch of the Altroz Racer. The new sporty hatchback is available in three variants – R1, R2 and R3, with prices starting at Rs 9.49 lakh (ex-showroom).

The Altroz Racer has a distinct exterior with a dual-tone colour scheme. The car has a black bonnet, roof and rear hatch with a black spoiler on the top. It also gets black ORVMs and matching alloy wheels. 

The Altroz Racer is positioned at the top of the Altroz line-up. It comes equipped with several new features, including a 360-degree camera, a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system and a 7-inch digital instrument cluster. The top-spec R3 variant gets ventilated front seats, an air purifier and the iRA connected car tech.

The Tata Altroz Racer is powered by the 1.2-litre turbo-petrol engine. It produces 118 BHP @ 5,500 rpm and 170 Nm @ 4,000 rpm. The engine is paired with a 6-speed manual gearbox.

The Altroz Racer is available in three colour options – Pure Grey, Atomic Orange and Avenue White.

Tata Motors has also introduced two new variants of the standard Altroz – XZ LUX, XZ+ S LUX and an upgraded XZ+ OS trim. These are available with a choice of petrol manual, petrol DCA, diesel and CNG powertrains. 

The XZ LUX variant gets a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system and a 360-degree camera. The XZ+ S LUX trim comes with 6 airbags, while the XZ+ OS variant gets connected car tech and an air purifier.
