Suzuki S-Cross facelift spotted at production plant

A single image of the 2017 Suzuki S-Cross facelift has surfaced on the internet, showcasing the crossover standing in what appears to be the company's production facility. This image leads us to believe that the Japanese automaker has started production of the S-Cross facelift, though which plant is pictured in the leaked spyshot is still unknown.

The spied image shows that the new S-Cross will get a comprehensively updated front fascia, with new headlights, a redesigned bumper, and a new vertically-slated chrome grille. The overall design appears to be similar to what was seen in the image that was leaked earlier this year. The side profile and silhouette remains identical to the current model, while the rear will get a few changes including redesigned tail lights and bumper.

It is not known when Maruti Suzuki is planning to introduce the facelifted S-Cross in India. Keeping in mind the fact that the car hasn't sold in great numbers, Maruti might delay the introduction of the facelift and focus on products that are selling well such as the Baleno and the Vitara Brezza. It is also possible that the automaker decides to push sales of the S-Cross by introduction of the facelifted version.

In India, the Maruti Suzuki S-Cross facelift is likely use the same 1.3-litre and 1.6-litre diesel engines that power the current model, while a 1.5-litre petrol variant might also be added to the line-up.
