Suzuki to launch Gixxer SF on April 7, 2015

Suzuki Motorcycles has announced that it will launch the fully-faired Gixxer SF motorcycle on April 7, 2015.

The Gixxer SF is a faired version of the Gixxer. It is expected to use the same engine and transmission as the naked bike - a 155 cc, single-cylinder, carburetted engine that develops 14.6 bhp @ 8000 rpm and 14 Nm of torque @ 6000 rpm, and is mated to a 5-speed transmission. The engine will feature Suzuki Eco Performance (SEP) technology, which the company claims, enhances fuel efficiency. The bike has a telescopic fork suspension at the front and a monoshock at the rear and comes with disc and drum brakes at the front and rear respectively.

The Gixxer SF borrows styling cues from the legendary Suzuki Hayabusa superbike. It is expected to be priced higher than the regular Gixxer. It will take on the Yamaha Fazer.
