Sunburn Music Concert to take place as a drive-in event

Sunburn, the Popular electronic dance music (EDM) concert will take place as a Drive-in event in India. After the outbreak of the Covid-19 pandemic has seen the cancellations of various sports and entertainment events this year, this comes as a welcome news for fans of EDM.

While the date, time and venues have not been disclosed, some details of how the event will be organised have been revealed. According to the organisers, the drive-in shows have been designed to maximize social distancing, and every event will meet all local health and safety standards, as well as state regulations.

The performing artists include DJ Sartek and Zephyrtone with opening acts by Prashanth Amir and DJ Sean. The concert can be viewed in one’s own private tailgating zone which is about the size of a 2 car garage. The access fee (per car) has been set at Rs. 3,000. Only 4 passengers per car will be allowed. The car parking slots will be allocated at the venue on first come first served basis depending upon the type of car.

Fans have been asked to reach 30-45 minutes prior to the show. They will have to get their temperatures screened upon arrival. If one’s temperature is found to be higher than the decided limit, he and those who are to be a part of his fixed group will not be allowed to enter the venue.

There is an age limit of 18+ years. Masks are mandatory at all times and fans have been asked to abide by all instructions given by the staff, signage, and terms & conditions. Social distancing at the venue is a must and socializing among different vehicles is not allowed. A distance of 2 metres has to be maintained while accessing the washrooms.

Carrying of liquids, alcohol, cigarettes, drugs and banned substances including outside food will not be permitted in the venue.
