Skoda Vision IN SUV patent images leaked

Patent images of the Skoda Vision IN SUV have leaked online, revealing the car's exterior.

The leaked images suggest that the production-spec Vision IN might look similar to the Vision IN Concept that was showcased at the 2020 Auto Expo. It has the typical Skoda grille with vertical slats. The grille is flanked by slim headlamp units. A set of trapezoidal fog lamps are positioned just below the headlamps. The dual-tone front bumper has a chunky skid plate.

At the rear, the Vision IN has L-shaped tail lamp clusters with the Skoda lettering in the centre. A light bar stretches across the width of the car. The rear bumper also has a chunky skid plate. The SUV has black cladding around the wheel arches and along the door sills. It has silver trim around the windows, roof rails and a rear spoiler. The SUV appears to have a panoramic sunroof and is riding on dual-tone alloy wheels.

The Vision IN will be based on the MQB A0 IN platform and is expected to be launched sometime in 2021. It is likely to be powered by a 1.5-litre TSI turbo petrol engine producing 148 BHP.
